U.S. Navy's Summerfield Outlying Field east of Robertsdale, AL
Many Student Naval aviators doing their primary flight training at NAS
Pensacola, did touch-and-go practices at outlying field Summerdale and
performed their first solo flights there. In 1966, as I took the runway
there for my first solo flight, I turned into a baby eagle. (I
might'v been a bit older than that.)
