I.  When the program first began it was a military issue, but with

     the recent anthrax contaminated mail in our country it will

     more than likely become an issue for the entire nation, and when

     it does we may have some of the same concerns.

 

  A.  Problems that cause  mistrust

       1.      Misinformation = mistrust

                a.   Safety questioned

    b.   Testing questioned (Maier, The Anthrax Issue, Insight on the News)

 

2.   Military not taking responsibility = mistrust (Koenig, Refuse Niks May Have History on their Side, U.S. Medicine)

I. I know it doesn’t seem like we as civilians have much say

in the military, but I hope you understand you do have a

voice and that you will use it to help shape the future

of our military and our nation.
